It has been such a long time since I properly read my google reader with all my blogs that I only just noticed this workout over at ScrapFit. And if you know me then you know I love birds as embellishments.
I decided to enter my joy canvas that I uploaded yesterday.
It says: "there is joy in the presence of the angels of God"
I spent all thurs arvo watching Tim Holtz demo videos and I decided to give some things a go.
I had this journal lying around, just a blank Kaisercraft one and inspired by Tim Holtz I decided to have a go.
I used a lot of distress inks using some different methods that I saw in this Tim Holtz Demo. Also crackle paint which I just got last week and I LOVE!!!
This months challenge over at Scrapbookers Anonymous is about using at least 3 papers from a mini stack... if you're anything like me you have loads that you don't use that often, so I was glad to do this challenge and use some of my stack. I am really happy with how it turned out, I don't usually use multiple photos but I love this series!
This weeks Fabulous Fri Challenge over at Frosted Designs is all about friendship... check it out here.
These photos are of me and my Aunty Winnie when I was just 10mths old, we were very close when I was little.
Hi all, this is my first post for Amber's Crafts and Stuff. This week's challenge is Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
So sort through your recycling bins and things you've been meaning to throw out and use them on a LO, card or other project.
Here is my take on this challenge, called Parents. I re-used a page from a book that had fallen out and some wire.
I'm really excited to be designing for Amber's Crafts and Stuff, I hope you go check them out and give the challenge a go... I look forward to seeing your entries.
When I saw this challenge over at ScrapFIT I knew I just had to do and immediately knew just what I wanted to do. The challenge is to use the words ONLY YOU as your title. When I saw this the first thing that came to my mind was this song by the Platters, aptly called only you. I love this song and have included the lyrics on my LO.
Head on over to Sketchy Thursdays to see this weeks sketch.
Here is my take on it. The photo was taken on red nose day 1990, which used to be a fundraiser for SIDS (cot death). In NZ we had a song that they always had on the ads etc for red nose day, called You make the whole world smile, that's where the title comes from, I printed out the words to the song on Velum and put it on my LO.
UPDATE: Frosted Designs Fab fri challenge just happens to be polka dots and stripes, and seeing as I only did this 2 days ago I'm going to enter it.
Well today has been a beautiful day in Dunedin, I just love sitting in my craft room in the sun!
Today I got out my buttons and as I was rustling through I found a few I wanted to use for this LO.
Its called Live, Laugh, Love.... what a shame I don't know any challenges for buttons atm. Oh well... here it is anyway:
I have had this 8x10 photo for quite a while and have always wanted to do something with it but was feeling like it was too big... after some inspiration from my friend Lydia I came up with this LO called all my dreams.
I'm quite happy with it too :) What do you think?
I was so excited about this weeks fri challenge over at Frosted Designs that I just had to do something else. So I did a 2 page LO. Once again I have to apologise about the photos, I really struggled to crop these ones properly.
Here is my LO called Tree of Love:
These photos were taken in Wellington in a Pohutakawa Tree (a native tree of New Zealand) at my husband's Grandparents house.
Embellishment: Wooden heart covered with the owl paper
If you have seen my My Favourite Things LO then you will understand why I just love love love this weeks Fab Fri challenge over at Frosted Designs. Its all about Birds and Butterflies!!
I have had this Kaisercraft Butterfly Album for a couple of months now, knowing sort of what I wanted to use it for but not quite enough to do anything with it. When I saw this challenge I knew it would be perfect!!! I am so super happy with the end result.
So here it is, my OTP Butterfly project called Live:
I have to apologise for my poor photo taking/cropping skills, but it should give you the idea, it is actually straight and has equal sides in real life.
